By downloading, installing, or using Winnow ("the software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the software — that's it. There's no account to deactivate, no subscription to cancel, just don't use it.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to use Winnow for personal and commercial purposes. You may install it on as many machines as you own or control.
You may not redistribute the installer or package Winnow inside another product without written permission from SDK Tech, LLC. If you'd like to bundle or redistribute Winnow, reach out: help@sdkco.io.
Winnow is a local file deduplication tool for Windows. It scans folders and drives that you select, computes SHA-256 content hashes for every file, groups identical files, and helps you remove the copies you don't need.
Everything happens on your machine. Scan results are stored in a SQLite database in your AppData folder. No data ever leaves your computer.
To be completely clear:
You are responsible for your own files. Winnow can move duplicates to a backup folder before deletion — use that feature. Before running any large cleanup operation, maintain your own independent backups of anything that matters.
Winnow is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind — express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
SDK Tech, LLC does not warrant that the software will be error-free, that it will correctly identify all duplicates, or that it will not cause data loss in unexpected circumstances. Always maintain your own backups.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SDK Tech, LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of Winnow — including data loss — is limited to the amount you paid for the software.
In no event will SDK Tech, LLC be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always at mywinnow.app/terms. Continued use of Winnow after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
For a local, offline tool, the terms are unlikely to change in any meaningful way. If there's ever a significant change, the effective date at the top of this page will reflect it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Colorado.
